3 Conversations - Get a better job - The Course
Tired of working for your boss? Want to move on to something new? Need to build skills for the next role? Can't trust telling your boss or the company what you really want to do?
At the last company I worked for, we were introduced to the "Three Conversations" method of professional development planning.
There is one big problem though - you have to deeply trust your manager.
This course helps people who can't open up to their manager or company about what their real career aspirations are.
Three conversations in a nutshell:
1. What got you here;
2. Where would you like to go;
3. What is the focus right now.
45 minutes each, normally 1-2 weeks apart.
The Course Outline:
Week 1: Introduction and Overview of the process.
Week 2: Conversation 1 - The life story
Week 3: Conversation 2 - Ideal jobs and careers
Week 4: Conversation 3 - OK, so what are we actually gonna do?
Week 5: Wrap up and Close
The course will be a single cohort with a maximum of 20 students.
Each week will have a one hour instructor-led call live on zoom (and recorded).
In the first week you will be paired with a fellow student (a buddy) to work with through the course.
As you work through the course, you'll have the opportunity to work with your buddy through each of the three conversations. Each conversation is a 45 minutes call with your partner, who will guide you through your own conversation.
The course will explain and guide you on each conversation, and templates, question guide and coaching for each conversation will be provided.
At the end of the course, you’ll have a much clearer understanding of your career goals, your starting point today, and where you are best focusing your time to develop over the next 12-18 months.
The course will also focus on how to transform your development plan into something you can share with your boss, as well as give you concrete ways to further your demonstrable skills for those looking to change departments, industries or companies.
This pre-sale is for the first cohort. It is expected that the course will be priced at $199 per person once operational.
